This Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Huarahi Māori specialisation develops your understanding of education in Māori-medium and bilingual environments. You will learn about Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, enhance your skills in te reo matatini (literacy), pāngarau (numeracy), tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, Māori pedagogy and second language teaching. Practical experience is gained through teaching placements in schools. The course is taught in a supportive whānau-focused environment and includes specialist academic support for Māori students.
