What You're Signing Up For
The Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Primary) is designed for those who wish to become confident and competent primary or intermediate school teachers. This program focuses on the New Zealand Curriculum, and includes 16 weeks of classroom experience supported by a blend of academic study, practical placements, and regular engagement with professional mentors. Students strengthen their understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, integrate te reo Māori into teaching, and benefit from a supportive peer network. Graduates are eligible for provisional teacher certification and able to teach throughout New Zealand and overseas.
