It will take a total of 3 years

Students will gain essential skills to thrive as a trainee or junior manager in any sector of the tourism and hospitality industry.

In the final year, focus on entrepreneurship to create your own products or services within hospitality or tourism, or work with national and regional tourism organisations.

This hands-on, flexible degree provides comprehensive training in hospitality and tourism management. Over three years, students develop foundational operational skills, then advance to managerial and entrepreneurial expertise. The curriculum covers professionalism, core skills, customer experience management, marketing, sustainable business planning, staff development, product innovation, and includes internship and industry project opportunities. Graduates are prepared for dynamic careers in hospitality, tourism, events, and related service sectors.

What you need to know first
Meet University Entrance criteria as specified by NZQA or hold an equivalent qualification.
Have a New Zealand Certificate at Level 4 or equivalent (relevant field recommended).
Provide evidence of ability to complete academic and other requirements (special admission may be available).
Domestic students over 20 without University Entrance may be admitted based on programme regulations and evidence of ability.
