Students will realise their full potential intellectually and creatively.

Students will understand and affirm the importance of te reo Māori in artistic expression.

Students will become effective and confident art professionals, contributing to culturally authentic art.
Te Pitau a Manaia | NZ Diploma in Ngā Toi (Level 5) is a one-year programme rooted in Māori visual arts, taught by some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s premier Māori artists. The course offers a kaupapa and wānanga learning environment where Te Ao Māori is interwoven throughout, fostering creative self-expression, cultural authenticity, and technical skill in various art forms. Graduates can pursue careers as art professionals or progress to further study including bachelor's and honours degrees in Māori Visual Arts and Creative Practice.
