Manage projects and briefs within defined guidelines and select education and employment pathways in arts, craft and/or design.

Critique own work and others’, communicate effectively, and present resolved work in simulated contexts.

Employ research to support idea development and inform creative work within arts, craft and design conventions.
The New Zealand Diploma in Arts and Design (Level 5) is a one-year, hands-on programme covering foundational skills in various disciplines including Image Making, Photography, Graphic and Object Design, and Art Theory. This diploma equips students with professional practices, critical assessment skills, creative processes, and project management applicable to arts and design industries. It serves both as a stand-alone qualification and as a pathway to the Bachelor of Arts and Media. The programme prepares students for entry-level positions such as designers, technicians, and salespeople within the arts and design sectors.
