In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
Dunedin School of Art, P Block, Dunedin
It will take a total of 8 weeks
This course requires 2 hours per week

Develop and extend your practical abilities in jewellery making through a range of advanced techniques.

Learn to apply new methods including sand casting, stone carving, chain and brooch making, and hydraulic pressing.

Demonstrate safe and proficient use of workshop equipment such as soldering tools, jewellery saws, and grinding tools.
This non-beginner short course offers experienced jewellery makers the opportunity to extend their craft through group demonstrations and personalised projects, led by specialist tutors at the Dunedin School of Art. Each term features a new skill such as sand casting, stone carving, chain and brooch making, or saw piercing with hydraulic press forming. Participants must have basic workshop skills and prior jewellery making experience, particularly in soldering and saw use. Classes run mornings or evenings each week, and you must enrol per term. Additional materials costs apply.
