Learners deepen their practical abilities in complex jewellery fabrication techniques such as sand-casting, stone setting, and chain construction.

Students design and create individual jewellery projects, building on their previous experience under tutor guidance.
This short course is for individuals with prior jewellery making experience. Delivered through evening and morning classes at the Dunedin School of Art, each term introduces a different set of advanced jewellery techniques, such as sand-casting, stone setting, chain and brooch making, and the use of hydraulic presses. The course emphasises developing individual projects and builds advanced workshop skills, with tutoring support for personal project development.
