Students will progress their skills in ceramic studio practice, experimenting with a range of clay, glaze and finishing processes, and developing sustainable practices informed by cultural perspectives.

This programme builds on prior learning and focuses on advancing skill development in ceramics within a robust studio environment. Students will undertake advanced methods in ceramics, complement their practice with drawing and visual language studies, and gain professional and leadership skills for presenting creative work. The course combines online theory with hands-on studio workshops at partnered facilities throughout New Zealand. Graduates can progress to the Bachelor of Visual Arts to broaden their skill set and career prospects.
Entry Requirements
Level 5 qualification in the same or related field, or equivalent knowledge/skills demonstrated through a portfolio
