The Master of Professional Accounting at AUT is designed for individuals from non-accounting backgrounds who want to retrain as accountants and work towards membership of leading professional accounting bodies, such as Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). The programme advances understanding of accounting from a strategic perspective, fostering financial and business expertise for senior management positions. Graduates may pursue roles such as chartered accountant, management accountant, CFO, finance manager, forensic accountant, business consultant, or tax specialist.
What you need to know first
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least a B- grade average in level 7 courses (New Zealand), or equivalent qualification from another country with specific GPA or percentage requirements as outlined by AUT.
