Course Content
- Accrual accounting: Fundamentals and principles of accounting applied in a business context
- Accounting for taxation: Calculating and reporting tax for business entities
- Accounting software: Setting up and using accounting software to process transactions and generate financial reports for GST-registered entities
- Payroll: Payroll administration, maintaining records, and preparing PAYE returns in an ethical and culturally appropriate manner
What you need to know first
40 credits at NCEA Level 1 including 10 Literacy and 10 Numeracy credits, or a relevant Level 2 qualification, or equivalent.
Special admission is possible for those over 20 who do not meet the requirements.
