The New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5), Accounting Strand at Toi Ohomai prepares students with practical accounting skills using real-life business scenarios. Learners gain proficiency in processing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, budgeting, tax application, financial risk evaluation, and ethical conduct in the accounting profession. The diploma can lead directly to year two of the Bachelor of Accounting (CAANZ and CPA approved), setting graduates on the path to chartered accountancy. Study options include both full-time and part-time delivery, with a mix of campus tutorials, online activities, and self-directed learning.
Entry Requirements
Be at least 16 years of age on the date the course starts
NCEA Level 2 including 8 literacy credits at Level 2 or above or equivalent
