This selected-entry, three-year degree gives you in-depth knowledge of the aviation sector and provides commercial pilot training, airline transport theory, and leadership skills. Graduates earn not only a degree but also a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with a Multi-Engine Instrument Rating and credits for Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) theory exams. In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
Manawatū campus, Palmerston North
It will take a total of 3 years
Graduate with a New Zealand Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating, and ATPL theory credits upon fulfilling requirements.

Develop an in-depth understanding of airline operations, aviation management, and the organizational context of the aviation sector.
NCEA Level 3/Year 13 or equivalent in an ‘English-rich’ subject
Recommended: Mathematics (Calculus) and Physics at Level 3/Year 13
Pass of ADAPT online test
CV including academic and work history
Completed trial (experience) flight
Fit and Proper Person declaration (Civil Aviation Authority of NZ)
Panel interview, aptitude and simulator tests, English and mathematics assessments
CAANZ Class One Medical Certificate (completed prior to course commencement)
Academic IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or equivalent if English is not first language
