It will take a total of 4 years

Students will gain foundational and specialist knowledge to sit for NZ Civil Aviation Authority Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL) examinations.

Graduates will be able to maintain, service, overhaul and certify aircraft, their systems and components, as required to support aircraft operations.

This diploma program is designed for those already working in the aviation engineering industry who aim to gain a formal qualification and certification in aeronautical maintenance. Delivered online, it follows the NZCAA Part 66 syllabus and prepares you to sit NZCAA theory exams, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application and requiring a portfolio of workplace experience. Graduates will be eligible for a range of responsibilities in maintenance, servicing, overhaul, and certification of aircraft, and may progress to licensure as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer after completing relevant work experience.
