Learners gain practical, standards-based skills through online study paired with a compulsory workplace component (minimum 64 supervised work experience hours using sterilisation technology). The programme is suitable for those employed or able to undertake work experience in medical, dental, or veterinary sterilising environments. Graduates can pathway to the New Zealand Diploma in Sterilising Technology (Level 5).
Entry Requirements
NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo Māori or education achievement at least equivalent to NCEA Level 2
OR completed New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 3)
