The Bachelor of Applied Science (Laboratory Science) (Level 7) at UCOL is a three-year full-time degree designed to prepare graduates for technical roles in various laboratory environments across New Zealand. The programme provides in-depth knowledge in applied science disciplines such as chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, statistical analysis, and research methods. It incorporates work placements and real-world projects to ensure graduates have practical experience alongside theoretical learning. Flexible part-time options enable students to balance work and study. The curriculum promotes critical thinking, problem solving, and compliance with workplace safety and legislative requirements. Equivalent academic achievement or discretion of Executive Dean
