Acquire advanced theoretical understanding in auditory science, diagnostic audiology, and clinical otolaryngology.

Develop practical skills in clinical audiology, including work with paediatric and adult patients, using diagnostic and rehabilitative techniques.
The Master of Audiology (MAud) is a professional, research-based programme recognised by the New Zealand Audiological Society (NZAS). Over two years, students gain academic knowledge, research skills, and clinical training in diagnostic audiology, auditory neuroscience, otolaryngology, and hearing aids. Graduates are prepared for entry-level practice as audiologists after completing a further year of supervised clinical experience towards certification. Facilities such as the University's Hearing and Tinnitus Clinic and The Oticon Foundation Hearing Education Centre provide hands-on clinical opportunities.
