It will take a total of 1 year

Develop the practical skills and knowledge needed to deliver salon support and basic client services in a hairdressing context under supervision.

Acquire and demonstrate foundational skills in hair cutting, styling, colouring, and reformation suitable for limited salon services.

Understand and apply professional standards in client interaction, including communication, consultation, and supporting the client journey.
The NZ Certificate in Hairdressing (Level 3) provides students with knowledge, practical skills, and the right attitude to perform limited salon and client support services in the hairdressing industry. Through project-based and work-based learning, students gain practical experience in salon environments, develop creative hair design skills, and are equipped for entry-level roles or advanced study in hairdressing.
