The New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy at UCOL is designed for those who want to start a career in beauty therapy. Students learn the technical skills behind beauty treatments such as facials, waxing, nail and makeup services, eye enhancements, and body tanning, complemented by knowledge in anatomy, professional practice, business planning and client management. Learning takes place through both theoretical lessons and extensive hands-on experience at UCOL’s beauty clinics, preparing graduates for employment in the industry and enabling further study at diploma level.

NCEA Level 2 or equivalent academic achievement

It will take a total of 40 weeks
This course requires 35 hours per week

Describe human anatomy and physiology, and understand nutritional and lifestyle factors supporting healthy skin, hair, and nails.
Or, admission at the discretion of the Executive Dean
