Students will be able to deliver a variety of beauty therapy services including spray tanning, waxing, nails, makeup, facials, and eye enhancement treatments.

Students will develop an understanding of the professional practices required in the beauty therapy industry.

Students will understand anatomy and physiology related to beauty therapy services.
The New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4) at Wintec prepares students for entry-level roles in the beauty therapy industry. Practical skills are developed through sessions at the Wintec Urban Spa and work-based learning alongside industry professionals. The programme covers a broad range of beauty services, including spray tanning, waxing, nails, makeup, facials, and eye enhancement treatments. Supporting knowledge areas include anatomy, physiology, and product chemistry relevant to beauty therapy.

40 credits at NCEA Level 2 including 10 literacy credits at NCEA Level 2, 10 numeracy credits at NCEA Level 1 and 14 credits in a science subject at NCEA Level 2 or recognised equivalent
