About This Course
This level 4 certificate programme equips you with professional and practical skills in makeup and hairstyling for fashion, film, TV, retail, and salons. Covering everything from health and safety, anatomy and skin analysis, to advanced beauty applications, SFX, historical and cultural looks, and portfolio building, this course prepares you for employment across a range of beauty and creative sectors. Strong industry partnerships provide networking and work experience, and you will graduate with a robust portfolio and contemporary business and retail abilities.

Entry Requirements
Domestic students: Minimum age 17 years; NCEA Level 2 or equivalent; access to a suitable computer or laptop; minimum specified hardware; microphone; reliable internet.
Portfolio of makeup work recommended.
International students: Minimum age 18 years or provision for living arrangements with a parent/legal guardian if under 18.
English language: IELTS 5.5 (Academic) no band lower than 5, achieved in the last 2 years.
