The Bachelor of Business (Honours) is an advanced one-year postgraduate programme for outstanding business or commerce graduates. It deepens research skills and deepens understanding in a chosen business area. Students work closely with supervisors, complete advanced coursework, and conduct independent research. The honours demonstrates academic excellence and can lead to higher study in master's or doctoral programmes. The degree comprises specialisation courses, research methods courses, and a dissertation.
Course Content
- Advanced specialisation courses (30 points) in chosen business field
- Research methods courses (30 points): philosophical foundations and methodological training
- Dissertation (60 points): original supervised research
- Postgraduate induction: research preparation, student support, library resources
- Topics vary by specialisation (e.g. Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, International Business, Management, Marketing, Sport Leadership and Management)

Bachelor of Business with a B+ grade average or higher in level 7 courses in the selected subject area, or equivalent
