The Master of Business at AUT is a postgraduate research degree that can be completed in 18 months full-time (or part-time). Students develop advanced research skills and achieve a rigorous understanding of a specialist business area aligned to their interests, supervised by expert academic staff. The programme includes specialisation courses, research methods, and completion of a thesis or dissertation. Graduates are well placed for leadership roles in business or to continue into a PhD.

Bachelor of Business OR Graduate Diploma in Business (NZ) with B grade average at level 7 or above
Bachelor's degree in a relevant business/professional subject (International, minimum 3/4 years as per country table, with B equivalent or above in final year)

Entry subject majors: Accounting; Economics; Finance; Information Systems; International Business; Management; Marketing; Sport Leadership and Management; or equivalent
Final admission subject to approval by the dean (or representative)
English: IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with 6.0 minimum in each band or equivalent
