Gain the ability to critically analyse and apply concepts essential for managing events successfully, including strategic issues, planning, execution, and evaluation.
The Bachelor of Applied Management (Event Management major) is designed to develop graduates ready for challenging business and event environments, both in New Zealand and internationally. Students gain foundational and advanced business skills, while focusing on the specifics of event management—including planning, risk and quality management, resources, performance measurement, and evaluation. Emphasis is placed on practical management, soft skills, and technical tools relevant to the event sector. Note: This major is closed to new enrolments; only students enrolled prior to 2021 can continue to completion.
