The Pathway Certificate (Foundation) is designed to provide grounding in academic studies and prepare students for further tertiary education. Students develop skills in academic writing, mathematics, statistics, science, and environmental studies. Upon completion, graduates can progress into the First-Year Pathway Diploma and then on to a bachelor’s degree. The certificate is not a university entrance qualification in itself but builds capacity for success in higher education.
What you need to know first
58 NCEA credits at Level 2 or higher (including 30 credits over three approved subjects with a minimum of 10 credits in each subject)
