Designing safe, cost effective and environmentally sustainable buildings and infrastructure is essential to our society. Professional civil construction engineers are involved with the design, planning and construction of the physical infrastructure that surrounds us. AUT’s civil construction engineering programme develops skills in construction management, structural engineering, building information modelling, and more, preparing graduates for rewarding careers in the sector. The programme is four years full-time, includes a major supervised work experience component, and culminates in an industry-based research project.
