The qualification provides a pathway to international recognition under the Dublin Accord, supporting work in multiple countries. Pathways into further Bachelor degree study are available for high-achieving students.

Blended study
This is a mix of online learning & face-to-face sessions
Available in 2 locations
It will take a total of 2 years

Be confident, critical thinkers able to solve complex problems within a broad civil engineering setting.
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level
Be physically able to complete the programme-specific outcomes
Achieve NCEA Level 2, with a minimum of 48 credits at Level 2 in four subjects including at least 12 credits in mathematics (preferably algebra, calculus or trigonometry)
Equivalent qualifications (e.g. International Baccalaureate, Cambridge), or equivalent credits from appropriate trades training and/or demonstrated skills/experience
Minimum of 10 literacy credits at Level 1 or higher (for those who achieved NCEA Level 2 before 2013)
Applicants for whom English is not a first language must have an IELTS score of 6.0 (Academic) with no band lower than 5.5, or an accepted international equivalence
