Apply knowledge of how land is regulated and administered in New Zealand for the purpose of land surveying.

Apply knowledge of the land development process to gain consents and approvals.

Apply geodetic control surveying principles in a New Zealand survey practice context.
This surveying diploma is designed for people employed in the land surveying industry who want to upskill or gain formal recognition. You'll learn to provide accurate spatial data for engineering, building, and surveying projects involving measurement and mapping of land. The programme features flexible, mostly online delivery with tutorial support, allowing you to balance study and work.
Entry Requirements
NCEA Level 2 with at least 48 credits in their best four subjects, including a minimum of 12 credits in Mathematics (preferably in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry)
8 credits at NCEA Level 2 in English (4 reading, 4 writing) or equivalent
If taking the Flexi-Learn pathway, must be currently employed in the land surveying industry at the time of enrolment
Applicants aged 20 years or over who do not meet the academic entry requirements, but whose skills, education, or work experience indicate they have a reasonable chance of success, may be eligible for special admission
