Civil
A course by
Wintec
A three-year degree preparing students for a career as a civil engineering technologist, focusing on infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, water and waste facilities. Accredited by IPENZ and Engineering New Zealand.
In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
Hamilton Rotokauri Campus, Hamilton
It will take a total of 3 years

Graduates can apply mathematical, natural science, and engineering fundamentals to design and implement solutions for civil infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, harbours, and water/wastewater facilities.

Students can specialise in areas such as water and waste engineering, roading and transportation, geotechnical, structural, or environmental engineering, gaining pathway-specific skills and expertise.

Civil engineering technologists apply mathematical, scientific, and engineering principles to create and maintain civil infrastructure. This programme covers the design, execution, and management of engineering projects in areas such as water and waste, roading and transportation, geotechnical, structural, and environmental engineering. Students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in industry-standard labs and facilities, with opportunities for workplace-related projects and industry collaboration.
