UCOL's New Zealand Diploma in IT Technical Support is designed to provide work-ready skills for entry-level roles in the IT industry. The programme covers a broad spectrum of ICT topics—business information systems, hardware, networking and security, system support, programming, web and database technologies, and systems analysis. Learners develop frontline IT support expertise through practical, hands-on training and gain the confidence and experience needed for roles such as desktop support, web development, and network administration. Successful graduates may also cross-credit into the UCOL Bachelor of Information Communications Technology degree.
What you need to know first
NCEA Level 3 or equivalent academic achievement (e.g. New Zealand Certificate in IT Essentials or New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology)) if under 20 years of age
Otherwise, entry is at the discretion of the Executive Dean

English language proficiency: IELTS academic score of 5.5 with no band score less than 5 (or equivalent, including TOEFL)
