The Bachelor of Applied Computing Technologies at Whitecliffe is a 360-credit Level 7 degree designed in consultation with industry to provide up-to-date, in-demand IT skills. Students develop a strong foundation in hardware, software, networks, operating systems, and core programming before choosing advanced electives in their areas of interest, such as data science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and web/mobile application development. The programme includes hands-on learning, specialist topics, and a significant final IT project with industry placement, preparing graduates for a diverse range of technology careers.

Applicants must turn 17 within their first year of study at Whitecliffe
NCEA Level 3 or above and 20 credits at NCEA Level 2 or above, including: 14 credits each in three approved subjects
UE Literacy (NCEA Level 2 or above; 10 credits with at least 5 credits in reading and 5 in writing)
UE Numeracy (NCEA Level 1 or above; 10 credits)
or a relevant NZQF Level 3 qualification and UE Literacy/Numeracy equivalent
or New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology Essentials (Level 4)
International: Must turn 18 in first year, IELTS Academic 6.0 (no band below 5.5) or equivalent, and meet NZ visa and English language requirements
