About This Course

This micro-credential enables participants to build interactive web application projects using the .NET open-source developer platform, meeting client and New Zealand IT industry functional requirements. Combining front and back-end design frameworks, students manage projects from conception to implementation, enhancing employability and organisational effectiveness. Includes webinars, asynchronous modules, and project-based assessments.

Course Content

  • Seven webinars with support, reviews, and industry updates
  • Six asynchronous modules with learning events, activities, discussions, and reflection tasks
  • Project development: Build a .NET program meeting authentic or hypothetical organisational requirements
  • Front-end frameworks and design
  • Back-end frameworks and design
  • Version control with Git and GitHub
  • Two summative assessments

Entry Requirements

Level 5 knowledge and skills in IT or programming, either from qualifications or relevant industry experience

Experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (must be able to code a static website)

Familiarity with Git (using commit, add, push, pull, and clone functions) and GitHub
