The Network Defender micro-credential enables participants to rapidly upskill and develop capabilities in network protection systems using analytical, application, and management strategies to defend organisational networks, data, and devices from threats. The course addresses the skills shortage in cyber security by providing competencies to analyse attacks, apply security tools, and manage ongoing network defence.
What you need to know first
Basic IT knowledge, equivalent to NZQF Level 5 or above, or related work experience.
Able to perform basic IT tasks such as installing software, using Windows or Linux, creating and supporting basic networks.
