The Diploma in Cloud Engineering at Level 7 is a comprehensive, industry-focused programme designed to develop advanced skills in designing, planning, deploying, and managing scalable and secure cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and AWS. Through practical, real-world projects, students gain expertise in cloud infrastructure, modern architecture, AI-driven data engineering, cloud-native DevOps, platform engineering, and multi-cloud automation. The course is delivered fully online with flexible full-time and part-time study options. Students are responsible for signing up for their own cloud accounts and managing cloud-related costs outside of the free credits provided by platform vendors.
Course Content
- Cloud Infrastructure & Modern Architecture: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
- AI-Driven Cloud Data Engineering: Leveraging machine learning for optimising cloud performance and scalability.
- Cloud-Native DevOps and Platform Engineering: Containerised microservices, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Multi-Cloud Automation and Emerging Technologies: Using infrastructure-as-code tools across platforms, security risk analysis in multi-cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS, Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Manager, Linux, Windows Server 2016 and 2019, Visual Studio Code, .NET environment.
- Real-world team-based projects.
