Develop capability to effectively plan construction projects, interpreting requirements and preparing necessary documentation.

Demonstrate safe and effective use of construction tools, materials, and processes by working on practical projects in a workshop environment.

The NZ Certificate in Building, Construction and Allied Trade Skills (Level 3) is aimed at preparing you for further study in the construction industry. The programme is project-based and offers hands-on workshop experience, linking theory and practical skills. Students develop their understanding of health and safety, construction materials, plans and documentation, measurement, safe tool use, communication, and teamwork. The certificate supports pathways into related apprenticeships and higher-level trade qualifications.
