MAST Academy’s Pre-Trade Training offers practical training in boatbuilding, composite technologies and marine systems. Choose a 12-week or 6-month course, combining handson workshop training with online theory. You’ll gain practical skills and industry connections in a supportive, small-class environment, preparing you for a career and trade qualifications in these specialised sectors.
Course Content
- Boatbuilding: Work with timber, alloy and other materials while learning the tools and techniques used to build boats, including cutting, shaping and assembling components for both traditional and modern methods.
- Composite Technologies: Learn to prepare materials, blend resins and apply techniques used in marine and industrial composite manufacturing, focusing on quality and durability.
- Marine Systems: Gain an understanding of engine components, system assembly, testing and maintenance, including diagnostics, troubleshooting and routine servicing.
