The New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) (Level 6) prepares students to manage and control costs and budgets in the building industry. Students learn construction principles and methods, legislation, project management, contract administration, feasibility studies, and how to quantify and estimate material and labour costs. Graduates are ready to work as quantity surveyors with opportunities to progress to senior roles or further study.

NCEA, with a minimum of 50 credits at Level 2 including 12 credits in Mathematics and a minimum of 12 Literacy credits

Understand and carry out key contract administration processes, including compliance with relevant legislation.
NZ Trade Certificate in Carpentry or National Certificate in Carpentry
Equivalent knowledge and skills (preferably four years secondary education)
Mature applicants: Demonstrated ability to succeed via prior study or relevant employment in related sector
