Communicate effectively in the construction industry and understand relevant legislation including statutes, regulations, and the Treaty of Waitangi’s impact on construction.

Describe and manage tender processes, understand Health & Safety and other Acts, and demonstrate knowledge of tender documentation and evaluation.

The New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Level 6) offered by UCOL equips students with practical and theoretical construction skills to prepare for a career as a construction manager or quantity surveyor. The course includes streams in both Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, focusing on project management, contract admin, estimating, tendering, building regulations, sustainability, and site safety. Graduates are qualified to enter employment under supervision in the construction industry, contributing to the effective management and organization of building projects in compliance with codes and standards.
