The New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trade Skills (Level 3) at Wintec is a one-year, full-time programme designed to develop students' technical skills, practical construction knowledge, and understanding of industry practices. Students learn basic principles of building, safe tool use, communications, and are exposed to real-life industry environments via workshops and building projects. The course includes both general construction knowledge as well as specialist carpentry strand modules, designed to prepare graduates for roles as site labourers or to commence an apprenticeship in the construction trades sector.
