Apply advanced creative and technical audio engineering techniques such as mixing, mastering, tracking and production to create professional-level sound works.

Produce music, sound for film/TV, radio commercials, audiobooks, podcasts, and multimedia projects to a professional standard.

This programme deepens and broadens skills gained in the Level 5 audio engineering and production diploma, providing advanced theoretical and practical learning in audio engineering. Students learn creative and technical audio engineering processes including tracking, mixing, record production, DJing, live sound, sound for film and TV, audio software/hardware, and more. Graduates will be equipped for a range of professional roles within the audio production industry.

Completion of New Zealand Diploma in Audio Engineering and Production (Level 5) or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
10 NCEA literacy credits at Level 2 or above (5 in reading, 5 in writing)
Alternative entry possible based on relevant study, work or life experience
