Gain foundational knowledge of sound theory, signal types, and the components involved in live sound production.

Develop practical skills in setting up and using PA systems, microphones, mixing boards, amplifiers, effects, compressors and gates in small venue settings.

Demonstrate the ability to set up sound systems, manage basic troubleshooting, and ensure audio quality and safety during live events.
The Introduction to Live Sound short course is designed to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in live sound production. Topics include working with PA systems, mixing desks, microphones, effects, sound theory, and the setup and operation of equipment typically used in small venues. Participants will gain hands-on experience and knowledge useful for entry-level roles in live sound or supporting live music and events.
