What You're Signing Up For
The Bachelor of Design with Honours (BDes(Hons)) is a four-year undergraduate Honours qualification focused on design across multiple fields, including concept, fashion, industrial, integrated, spatial, textile, photography, and visual communication. Students develop creative, technical and analytical skills through hands-on studio work, engage in research-led projects in their final year, and build a portfolio that prepares them for diverse design careers. The programme fosters innovative, cross-disciplinary practice and provides pathways into master's study or industry roles.

- Year 1: Fundamental design skills and principles – studio courses, design/art theory, electives
- Year 2: Major-specific techniques, skills and processes, design issues, electives
- Year 3: Studio, increasing collaboration across majors, theory/enterprise, electives
- Year 4: Design research and independent body of work, external engagement, electives
- Electives across College of Creative Arts, minors available
- Research-led studio practice and collaboration
