About This Course
The Electrical Competence Programme (Level 4) at Toi Ohomai is a short, intensive refresher designed for electrical workers who need to renew their Electrical Practising Licence with the EWRB. The course is suitable for registered practitioners and trainees, as well as those with electrical endorsements including supervision, mining, hazardous areas, medical and mains parallel generation systems. It covers essential electrical safety, testing, and First Aid/CPR requirements to maintain compliance. Successful completion is reported to the EWRB for licensing.
Course Content
- Electrical Safety and Testing (3 hours, with practical testing component)
- First Aid/CPR Refresher (2 hours; only required if certificate is not current for past two years)
- E-Learning prerequisite on EWRB portal before class (mandatory)
- Regulatory compliance process for EWRB registration/licensing
