This degree equips students with knowledge and practical skills to design, construct, and supervise electrical systems and equipment. The program combines classroom theory and hands-on work in modern engineering labs and offers specialized pathways in power engineering, electronics, or mechatronics. Students learn using industry-standard facilities, complete an industry-based project, and benefit from strong industry connections. Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting

It will take a total of 3 years

Demonstrate industry-relevant practical skills, effective communication, and professional practice aligned with employer and industry standards.
42 NZQA Level 3 credits including: 14 credits Physics, 14 credits Calculus, 14 credits from approved subjects
Literacy: 10 credits at Level 2 (5 reading, 5 writing)
Numeracy: 10 credits at Level 1 (specified achievement or unit standards 26623, 26626, 26627)
Or New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE) with 60% or better overall
Or at least two years relevant work experience post-graduation
Or equivalent international qualifications
IELTS 6.0 overall, 6.0 in written/speaking, 5.5 in reading/listening (if applicable)
