Students will learn how to safely disconnect, maintain, and reconnect 460-volt electrical appliances.

Students will be prepared to successfully complete the Electrical Services Technician exam and meet the registration requirements of the Electrical Workers Registration Board.

Students will complete practical assessments throughout the sessions necessary for EST registration certification.
This short course is designed to prepare students for the Electrical Services Technician exam and to work safely with 460-volt electrical appliances. The training covers mandatory competencies required for registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board as an Electrical Appliance Service Person. It includes practical assessments for disconnecting and reconnecting electrical appliances, and prepares students to pass the required exams conducted by ASPEQ. Students must have completed the EASQ programme and hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate. Note that course fees exclude EWRB exam fees, which must be paid separately to ASPEQ.
