The New Zealand Certificate in Industrial Measurement and Control (Theory) (Level 4) is a part-time programme combining distance learning with on-site block courses at Wintec's Rotokauri Campus in Hamilton. This programme develops theoretical and practical competencies for those seeking to work as instrumentation technicians, learning to understand, install, commission, and maintain industrial measurement and control systems. Students will be taught by industry-experienced tutors and cover the requirements for working with equipment in a variety of manufacturing and processing industries. Graduates may progress to higher-level qualifications, such as Process Control and Automation Level 5.
What you need to know first
40 credits at NCEA Level 2 including 10 literacy credits at NCEA Level 2, 10 numeracy credits at NCEA Level 1, and 14 credits in a science subject at Level 2; or recognised equivalent
