Participants will be able to assess whether a site is suitable for a stand-alone power system and calculate monthly estimated energy yields for clients.

Graduates will be able to assess a client's energy use, create load versus renewable energy profiles, and estimate the proportion of renewable and generator-supplied energy.
Stand-alone Power Systems: Design only is intended for electrical engineers and technically trained professionals looking to gain advanced knowledge of designing, assessing, and optimising off-grid renewable energy systems. The course covers site and load assessment, battery technology, renewable resource integration, system design and safety, relevant standards, and commissioning processes. It builds upon knowledge from grid-connected PV and battery system design and is endorsed by SEANZ. The program is delivered with a blend of self-paced online study and a three-day in-person component.
