The Master of International Nature Conservation (R) emphasises global perspectives in conservation, preparing graduates for local and international careers. Study is split between Lincoln University and the University of Göttingen, giving students exposure to different conservation challenges and approaches across hemispheres. The programme includes coursework, 12 weeks of practical experience, and a research project. The flexible structure allows students to focus on areas of interest in wildlife assessment, species extinction, conservation strategies, and monitoring, all taught in English.

Relevant New Zealand level 7 bachelor’s degree or recognised equivalent with a B average or better in the 300 level and final year courses (full-time equivalent).

Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
Available in 2 locations
It will take a total of 2 years

Complete 12 weeks' practical work, potentially in international or New Zealand-based conservation organisations.
Preferred degree in technical or natural sciences, environmentally oriented business, economics, or related sciences.
IELTS 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0) or equivalent for international students.
In-person study
