This is the final third-year completion of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Biodiversity Management), delivered in partnership between NorthTec and Unitec. Students will gain advanced knowledge and practical skills to manage and protect ecosystems, with a focus on regional, national, and global challenges to biodiversity. The programme is highly applied, featuring field work, data analysis, research, and supporting graduate pathways into environmental and conservation careers.

This is a mix of online learning & face-to-face sessions

Learn to monitor ecosystems, collect and interpret environmental data, and use analytical tools for biodiversity management.

Become proficient at identifying, researching, and proposing solutions to conservation and environmental management problems.
Must be physically able to complete the programme-specific outcomes
Successful completion of the New Zealand Diploma in Environmental Management (Level 6) at NorthTec with at least a B+ average OR Diploma in Conservation and Environmental Management
International: IELTS 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5), or NZCEL Level 4 (Academic) or accepted international equivalence
