Conduct sampling and monitoring of freshwater ecosystems using ecological principles.
Explore New Zealand's terrestrial, freshwater, and coastal ecosystems, and address challenges related to biodiversity and resource management. Gain practical skills in environmental monitoring, project management, and evaluation, while building industry contacts and practical expertise through work placement. Graduates will be prepared to design and manage environmental projects, and apply legislative, technical, and ecological knowledge to real-world environmental issues.
