About This Course
This one-year, Level 4 national certificate programme is designed for people passionate about protecting natural environments. Learn to manage New Zealand's diverse ecosystems—including marine, bush, wetlands, and alpine areas—through practical skills such as 4WD use, chainsaw operation, pest control, and maintenance of conservation facilities. The course prepares students for kaitiakitanga roles and delivers specialist training in ground pest control, track building, and team-based conservation management. Graduates are equipped for operational roles in the environmental sector with a balance of ecological knowledge and hands-on skills.
