The Diploma in Agriculture expands your knowledge of farm management and production systems. Covering practical husbandry, soil and plant management, engineering basics, business skills and farm resource management, this 1-year programme prepares you for roles in New Zealand's fast-evolving agricultural sector. Eight compulsory courses provide a comprehensive foundation in both technical and business aspects of farming.

- Practical work placement (12 weeks at agricultural businesses, with a minimum of 4 weeks at any one operation and maximum of 12 weeks)
- Development of competence in vehicle driving (tractor and truck experience advantageous)
- Business and financial planning relevant to farm management
What you need to know first
NCEA Level 2, with a minimum of 40 credits over four subjects recognised by Lincoln University; University Entrance literacy and numeracy standards required; Maximum of 24 credits per subject counted.
